# Releasing Octez v12.3

Version 12.3 of Octez has just been released.

**Breaking change** : snapshots exported with Octez 12.3 cannot be imported with previous versions of Octez.

This version fixes some remaining issues related to the storage of metadata. In particular, the node should no longer need to restore the consistency of the store upon restart.

Additionally, an update of the Ledger baking app is incoming to fix some cases where the Ledger failed to sign blocks.

Note that this updated version of the baking app will still fail to sign the same blocks with Octez 12.2 or earlier versions.
