Will the shielded transactions be traceable due to sizing and timing?
For example If I shield 1234xtz transfer them and then 1234 xtz are unshielded somewhere else, wouldn’t it be trivial to pinpoint the origin?
If so, is there any tool planned to solve this?

We believe that many more STO for financial services will find Tezos a perfect platform. Privacy was often reported as a big blind spot up to now.
We are working on the tech but maybe somebody working on adoption could point to more concrete use cases.

The attack you point is valid.
However the ‘tool’ to counter it is to stay in the shielded pool.
The shielded pool is not intended to be a passing point as a mixer.
