Wager – Automated Market Maker for Binary Options on Etherlink

Wager is building the first Automated Market Maker (AMM) for binary options on Etherlink. Taking inspiration from Juster, it enables transparent, on-chain prediction markets where users can create events, place bets, or provide liquidity to “be the house” and earn yield.
Etherlink currently has a major capital efficiency gap:
- Active bettors use opaque, high-risk platforms with poor transparency and no hedging.
- Passive liquidity providers are limited to low-yield opportunities and “holder boredom.”
- The ecosystem lacks a product that combines engaging user behavior with productive liquidity.
**Proposed Solution**
Wager introduces a binary-options AMM designed for Etherlink-native DeFi:
- Event creation and participation are fully on-chain.
- Liquidity pools back outcomes transparently.
- Decentralized oracle-driven settlement reduces trust assumptions.
- Protocol revenue model:
- 1–2% rake on winning pots
- 0.5% fee on liquidity withdrawals
**Why It Deserves Funding**
- We already have a working MVP ([https://wager-landing.vercel.app/](https://wager-landing.vercel.app/)).
- There is no such product existing on Etherlink.
- Clear roadmap with self-sustaining plan that generates a **1-2% protocol rake** on every winning pot and a **0.5% fee** on liquidity withdrawals

Thank you for your proposal, unfortunately there were other pending proposals before this and the DAO’s treasury will not have enough to fund this until it is replenished. This proposal will be put on hold until the treasured is refilled and we will check in with you at that time to see if you still want the proposal to be voted on. Hopefully the treasury can be topped up soon.

Wager is actually **almost ready for public testing** with the creating event and betting flows areworking, and we’re just doing some final polishing on withdrawals right now. We still ask for **8,000 XTZ**.

Right now the app only supports Metamask for now

I really want to push this project to mainnet at current stage. The only problem now is that I need a huge amount of liquidity to put into those events to attract bettors and liquidity providers.
Would it be reasonable if I ask for funding from the community or DAO?
