Announcing Octez v17.1

:mega: Octez v17.1 has just been released.

This minor version fixes a file descriptor leak in streaming RPCs. It also improves the performance of some RPC endpoints when requesting information from older blockchain levels.

While Octez v17.0 remains compatible with the upcoming Nairobi protocol upgrade, we recommend node operators to upgrade their infrastructure to v17.1, especially those providing infrastructure services either on Tezos Layer 1 or on Smart Rollups – indexers and block explorers, public RPC nodes, etc. – or any operator requiring extensive use of streaming RPC endpoints, such as /monitor/heads/.

As a reminder, the Nairobi protocol is set to activate on June 23rd before block level #3.760.129. Octez version 17 is the minimal version of Octez compatible with the Nairobi protocol. Thus, we recommend bakers and node operators to upgrade as soon as possible to ensure a smooth protocol migration.
