Developer and Project Matching: Connect, Build, and Grow the Tezos Ecosystem!

Warmest greetings Tezos Community! :rocket:

The Tezos Stars team is thrilled to announce the Developer and Project Matching initiative, a friendly space to connect talented developers with innovative Tezos projects on our forum! We aim to inspire developers to build dApps, contribute to Tezos’ ecosystem, and join our dynamic community. This thread is your chance to showcase your skills or project needs, improving collaborations that drive Tezos’ growth and innovation.

Why Developer and Project Matching?

Tezos’ ecosystem is filled with potential, from DeFi and NFTs to sustainable governance and Etherlink’s EVM-compatible solutions. However, connecting skilled developers with projects seeking talent can be challenging. Our goal is to create a public, accessible space where:

  • Developers can introduce their skills, share LinkedIn profiles, GitHub repositories, and find exciting Tezos projects to join.
  • Projects can post their details, including technical needs, to attract developers passionate about building on Tezos.

How It Works?

For Developers

Are you a developer eager to build on Tezos? Share your introduction here! Include:

  • Skills: Programming languages (e.g., LIGO, SmartPy, Taquito), experience with smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs, Etherlink EVM, or other areas.
  • Links: Your LinkedIn profile, GitHub repository, portfolio, or other relevant profiles.
  • Interests: What Tezos projects excite you? (e.g., DeFi, gaming, governance, or Etherlink dApps).
  • Contact: How can projects reach you? (e.g., Discord ID, Telegram, email, or DM here).
  • Optional: Your experience with Tezos or why you’re passionate about its self-upgrading, energy-efficient blockchain.

For Projects

Are you a Tezos project seeking developers? Post your project details here! Include:

  • Project Overview: What’s your project about? (e.g., DeFi platform, NFT marketplace, governance tool, Etherlink dApp).
  • Developer Needs: Specific skills required (e.g., LIGO for smart contracts, Taquito for dApps, familiarity with Etherlink EVM).
  • Links: Project website, GitHub, or Social networks.
  • Contact: How can developers reach you? (e.g., Discord, Telegram, email).
  • Optional: Funding status (e.g., Tezos Foundation-funded), timeline, incentives (e.g., equity, XTZ tokens), or other interests you’re willing to share.

Guidelines

  • Be Respectful: Keep posts professional and focused on Tezos development.
  • Stay Relevant: Only share developer intros or project needs related to Tezos’ ecosystem.
  • No Spam: Avoid repetitive posts or off-topic promotions.
  • Transparency: Include verifiable links (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub) to build trust.
  • Engage: Respond to comments or DMs to foster connections.

Why Join?

This initiative supports our campaign’s goal of onboarding developers and projects to Tezos, driving dApp development, and boosting community engagement. By participating, you’ll:

  • Connect with like-minded developers and projects.
  • Discover opportunities to contribute to Tezos’ ecosystem (e.g., hackathons, bug bounties, grants).
  • Help grow Tezos’ global footprint and make this forum a hub for innovation.

Get Started and Build Together!

We’re excited to see the Tezos community unite to create groundbreaking projects! Share your intro or project below, and let’s spark collaborations that drive Tezos’ innovation. Join us in making Tezos the go-to blockchain for developers!

  • Developers: Post your introduction below with your skills, links, and interests.

not going to get anywhere without tooling, infrastructure, documentation, and support that is knowledgeable enough to answer questions until there’s enough information available to be self sustaining. until then the crickets speak for themselves. there are no developers here to connect yet. none that I’ve seen at least.

most of the projects here don’t need help they need competition. you get there by supporting independent developers not funneling them into dead ends.

anyway, developer for 20 years. experience working on blockchain infrastructure in a past life, low level optimization/vectorization, some experience with architecting services with soft realtime latency requirements. willing to work with any open source project that is actively trying to drive a foundation grantee building proprietary systems and keeping all of that information to themselves bankrupt.

Hey V32!

Wow, thank you for jumping into the Developer and Project Matching initiative with such critical view. You got the kind of energy that’s keeping live in the Tezos community. For 100% I agree on competition - building project is one thing, and bringing into masses is another, way harder.
Am going deeper and deeper trough Tezos, for sure there is enough info and users should gather it by themselves as it’s the most effective way to learn.
Tho, this current topic we made for chances to bring talents together. I’m further looking to see what projects need help with advertising and user onboarding, so for later on believe that cross-help will grow out of such matching.
As for now gathering final steps to build attractive and dynamic funnel to onboard plenty of opportunity seeking developers. Ill keep with updates.

Once again, thanks for keeping the momentum going V32.

Wish you to have more charming ideas and their powerful outcome. Cheers!
