Dynamically updating NFTs that plant trees in the real world & earn a yield in stable coin

Hi, we’re EcoMint (aside from me, our core dev team is: Gabe and leudowald.

Today we’re announcing the Angry Teenagers NFT project.

The Angry Teenagers are NFTs that directly fund the planting forests in the parts of the world where nature has been destroyed. They also pay a cash return to holders of the NFTs.

In our first project we’re working with SYNDGhana to train young people to re-create a 500 acre forest destroyed by logging

Each Angry Teenager NFT is geolocated to a specific piece of land in the project using sets of What3Words addresses

Each Angry Teenager funds the training of young people and the planting of trees on that land

Angry Teenagers are not a one-off donation: funds are held in a vote-controlled wallet which releases funds as milestones are completed

For every ton of carbon the forest captures, NFT owners earn a return when ethically aligned companies pay for each ton of carbon as part of their sustainable initiatives to reach net zero.

Angry Teenager NFTs are dynamically updated with data about the forest regeneration using Ceramic data streams

The NFTs are minted on Tezos, of course

You can read the Whitepaper for full details.

We received a grant from the Tezos foundation, and have been hugely supported by the Tezos community - with special thanks to Anil Madhavapeddy, Keefer Taylor and Kathleen Brietman for their help in getting us started in the Tezos ecosystem.

Happy to be here and looking forward to conversation with more people in the community. We’re looking for more development help so if you’re interested please do get in touch…

Please do also follow us on twitter, and if you’d like to get on the waiting list for the whitelist, please sign up to the Mint List from the website.
