Octez v15.1 has been released!

Version 15.1 of Octez has just been released.

Compared to version 15.0, version 15.1 fixes a bug that would cause the bootstrap pipeline to apply a block without prechecking it first, when the active protocol is Lima. The nature of this bug will prevent the correct operation of the Lima protocol with earlier Octez versions, including Octez v15.0.

As a result, we strongly recommend to upgrade to Octez v15.1 instead.

Full changelog and update instructions are available in the version 15 release page: Version 15.1 — Tezos (master branch, 2022/12/05 15:53) documentation

The Git tag for version 15.1 is v15.1 and the corresponding commit hash is 763259c5131a5cc8054151596f0f59ffb505f0fc.

Note that the Lima protocol is due to activate on Tezos Mainnet on block #2,981,889, which is currently expected at early hours of December 19th CET. It is also worth clarifying that this bug on Octez v15.0 does not affect the protocol currently active on Tezos Mainnet, Kathmandu.

Still, it is advised to update to Octez v15.1 with sufficient time before Lima’s activation date. If you are unsure about what needs to be done on your end, reach out to us on the Tezos baking Slack, or feel free to contact the Nomadic Labs support team.
