Octez v22.0~rc2 has just been published!
This is the second release candidate for Octez v22.0. If this release candidate proves to be stable, it will be released as version 22.0.
Octez v22.0~rc2 introduces:
- Additional P2P connection management improvements to the DAL node;
- New baker performance monitoring metrics; and,
- Improved readability of Octez event reports.
It also includes all features from v22’s first release candidate:
- Support of the Rio Protocol proposal
- The baker requires an endpoint of a running DAL node or the --without-dal option
- The default history mode is now Rolling instead of Full. to start.
- New experimental agnostic baker executable.
- Release of the new Debian and RPM packages.
The Debian packages have also been updated in this second candidate following users’ feedback.
Now, when installing from these packages, you can start all the protocol-dependent bakers with a single systemd service: octez-baker.
Services for each baker are still provided, but they are now named with their associated protocol. Users can run all bakers at once, or individually using the protocol name. For instance, to start the service for the Quebec protocol’s baker only, one can use:
systemctl start octez-baker@PsQuebec
A full changelog and update instructions are available in the version 22 release page.
