Octez v24.0~rc2 has just been published!
The second release candidate for Octez v24.0 fixes a memory leak introduced by v24.0~rc1. This bug has caused Octez nodes and DAL nodes deployed on different networks to consume increasing RAM, crashing after a few hours of operation as a result.
v24.0~rc2 addresses this issue, ensuring a stable memory management by Octez executables. We thank the community members that have reported this issue found while testing v24.0~rc1.
If you have deployed Octez v24.0~rc1, please upgrade to v24.0~rc2 as soon as possible to prevent downtime.
Note that this issue does not affect v23, the latest major version of Octez compatible with Tezos L1 mainnet.
If v24.0~rc2 proves to be stable, it will be released as version 24.0.
A full changelog and update instructions are available in version 24’s release notes. The Git tag for this released candidate is `octez-v24.0-rc2` and the corresponding commit hash is bbc0aa4b.
