A new release candidate of Octez (12.0~rc1) is available.
If this release candidate proves to be stable, it will be released as version 12.0.
This release candidate contains a new version (V4) of the protocol environment, which is the set of functions that protocols can call. This new version is used by protocol Ithaca. This release candidate also contains Ithaca itself as well as its daemons (baker and accuser — there is no endorser for Ithaca). It also contains the configuration for Ithacanet, a test network that will run Ithaca.
We invite you to test this release candidate, for instance on the Hangzhounet test network in addition of Ithacanet, and to report any issue on Issues · Tezos / tezos · GitLab so that they can be fixed before the release.
