Version 9.0 has just been released. This new major release contains the current protocol proposal, Florence, as well as the new protocol environment (V2) that is needed by Florence. It also adds the configuration for Florencenet, a test network that runs Florence.
Compared to its release candidate (9.0~rc2), version 9.0 also contains a fix to the mempool that could crash with an assertion failure, and the Docker image tags have been fixed.

The Git tag for this release is v9.0 and the corresponding commit hash is f4f033c6a5fff4bd644a2a2a38f7a607a5d6a055. Branch latest-release now points to this new tag.
