Tezos Art 24/7 Live Stream on YouTube, Twitch and TwitterX Live

Detailed Description

Art on Tezos is incredible, but too often it stays hidden within the Tezos bubble.
How can we bring it to a wider audience and attract new collectors?

Introducing Tezos Art 24/7, a 24/7 live stream of new mints and listings on Objkt.com, broadcasting directly to YouTube, Twitch, and X.
Most smart TVs, TV sticks, and media boxes come with these apps preinstalled, providing instant, low-friction access to Tezos art on the big screen.

By live streaming Tezos digital art 24/7 on these platforms, we:

  • Drive more traffic and sales to Objkt.com
  • Give artists greater exposure
  • Introduce new collectors and creators from other platforms
  • Inspire people with new pieces to collect
  • Reinforce Tezos as a thriving, active NFT ecosystem

Tezos Art 24/7 isn’t just a feed — it is a living window into the world of Tezos NFTs, keeping the community vibrant and visible around the clock.

Background and Experience

I’m a creative developer focused on building innovative platforms that empower artists and collectors in the Web3 ecosystem through thoughtful design and technology.

I’ve built several digital art related projects using the Objkt.com v3 and tzkt.io APIs. These include tools for EditArt, Objkt.com, fx(hash) Tezos, and Bootloader.art.
Explore all my projects here: https://from-friends.github.io/

In 2025, I won five Tezos Developer Awards for these projects.
Together with my teammate Bruno Formagio, we won both “Best Overall” and “Collab Culture” at the official 2025 Etherlink Hackathon for our fully on-chain generative art platform, Permalink.

I think this is a great initiative! One thing I think worth discussing is, why the singular focus on one marketplace? If it’s funded publicly, I would prefer to see a more fair spread and equal support for major marketplaces. Surely Teia has a seat at this table? EditArt would be another I’’d like to see featured. You could pull from minted tokens of the project for preview images and avoid the need to render anything.
I suppose it depends on how heavily you plan to depend on Objkt’s index and APIs or if you plan to develop any data collection and service of your own.

Can you go into any more detail about the server architecture including caching, and their expected costs?

Thanks for bringing fresh ideas to bare on Tezos!

I would assume Objkt because of their referral kickback even though Teia is the only marketplace that does Creative Commons correctly (it’s an option on objkt but not in a way that makes is possible to comply with attribution requirements making it functionally useless… for those who care about this sort of thing).

Costs seems reasonable enough. Keeping a 24/7 stream alive is hard. It will fall over and you have to automate restarts. You’ll find out which libraries are 32-bit when running 5mbps over 188byte packets.

Twitch Plays would be my benchmark for viewer counts. avg 3-5 baseline as just a frame with maybe monthly high of ~10.

I don’t watch Pocobelli, does anyone know how many viewers Artist Journal gets? Not the VODs but live.

I like the idea

When the proposal in the DAO?

Thanks! Glad you like it.

When’s the proposal going to the DAO?

How long do people usually wait before posting the proposal to the DAO?

Actually, I’m using the Objkt v3 API since I’m already familiar with it and it’s been reliable in my previous projects.
From what I understand, artworks minted on Teia and EditArt are indexed there as well.

I would’ve loved to use the Teztok API, but it was shut down recently.
The referral kickback is definitely a nice bonus, though.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up.
I’ve added that to my list of things to handle for maintaining a reliable stream.

You sound experienced in this area, and I’d love to chat and pick up a few more tips if this project gets approved.

Thanks for your question!

One thing I think is worth discussing is: why the singular focus on one marketplace?

I’m not actually focused on Objkt. I’m just using their v3 API. As far as I know, Teia.art and EditArt.xyz drops will also be indexed there.
If that’s not the case, I’m happy to include Teia and EditArt directly as well.

Can you go into any more detail about the server architecture, including caching, and their expected costs?

Sure. Here’s the current setup and rough cost breakdown. I may upgrade to a more powerful VPS if needed. I’ll test and scale it to ensure the best possible streaming experience.

VPS

  • Provider: Hetzner Cloud
  • Specs: 4 vCPU / 8–16 GB RAM / 10-20 TB outbound traffic
  • Cost: ~$200/year

Restream.io

  • Plan: 3 Multistream channels
  • Cost: $190/year

X.com Premium

  • Reason: Required for live streaming
  • Cost: $84/year

Stream Details

  • Resolution: 1920 × 1080 (Full HD)
  • Frame rate: 30 fps
  • Bitrate: 8 Mbps (excellent visual quality for 1080p @ 30 fps)
  • Audio: 128 kbps

What kind of details about caching are you most interested in?

Thanks for bringing fresh ideas to bare on Tezos!

My pleasure.

Twitch is not included here?

Agree that using objkt API is probably the right way to go. You will get EditArt and EditArt Fun with a little extra handling to get the true artist (they deploy the EditArt pieces themselves so you get the first minter) but it would be great to see you link out to the proper marketplace as opposed to just linking all to objkt. Esp since the Teia listings don’t share a fee to referrer iirc. And EditArt isn’t supported on objkt for minting. So could be a dead end for users linking from the feed to a page on objkt where they can’t purchase. Happy to be available as you progress to help you target the data in Objkt!

I guess for caching I was wondering if there’s any layer between the feed and objkt api to ensure fast global loading, or if you’re planning to have each client fetch from objkt directly. It might be better for UX to use a globally-distributed cache layer for end-user data service.

Either way that’s in the weeds and not going to change anything, just interested in your plans.

Love seeing platforms that highlight Tezos art. I hope your tool supports presenting 3D models too.

Oh good point! Even a standard slow rotate of 3D models would be a great add! Lots of wonderful 3D art on Tezos not to be missed.

I’m truly grateful to the Tezos community and Ecosystem DAO for believing in this proposal.

I’m hard at work getting “Tezos Art 24/7” live on YouTube, Twitch, and TwitterX.
You can expect to see a preview of the feed website soon, along with a community vote on the final name. :rocket:
