    Microfactories for fashion are the future.
    Right now, brands are trying to forecast trends years into the future because this is how long lead times are. This results in a lot of misses and subsequently millions of tons of waste.

    But with the latest machinery, it is now possible to produce personalized fashion at scale. Gabriel consults such an endevour called https://www.shift.vorn-hub.com/research-and-development

    Large industry brands like H&M and Zalando are partnering with VORN, because just like with the internet, fashion production will come nearer and nearer to you and the next step are the equivalent to internet cafe’s.

    For this, NFTs are the perfect match, because NFTs combine digital scarcity with clear production limits. We can offer one item with a only fixed number of color variations (Cryptopunks only have x colors, so the microfactory only has to source those before).

    This keeps manufacturing standardized while making small batches viable and if it catches on, also reduces literal tons of Co2.

    The grant will be used to create a website with a configurator, where people can drag&drop NFT artworks on a 3D model of the jersey. The goal is to create a cool proof of concept, which we can then use to access our extensive network in the fashion and sportswear industry and create large scale projects for web2 that are running on Tezos.

    Gabriel has a background in marketing, works as innovation consultant with large fashion brands like Adidas, Prada, Stone Island and Swarovski. As the former Head of Online for Vice Magazine Berlin, he has extensive knowledge of (branded) storytelling

    In web3, our most notable project was a collaboration with fx(hash) and the designer Anna Lucia, where users could turn sound files into generative artworks that were produced as large scarfs that people could wrap themselves in
