Update: Get Tez on Bitcoin ATM's

Looking for a software engineer

Hi Tezos community members,

Some time ago I launched the idea to get tez on bitcoin ATM’s worldwide.

In co-operation with Bitminas.com I’m working to integrate tez on their General Bytes ATM’s. Some other ATM operators are interested as well.

Currently, we’re looking for a software engineer to help us out. For the integration requirements of General Bytes view following link https://github.com/GENERALBYTESCOM/batm_public . Feel free to contact us in case you would like to participate.

We are in the process of writing a project proposal for the Tezos Foundation in order to obtain the necessary funds. After a successfull pilot project launch we would like to roll it out over the top 10 ATM operator worldwide. By doing so, 50% of all bitcoin ATM’s worldwide will have tez on their machines.

Please let us know in case you would like to join us.

Thanks for reading.

Fact: the vast majority, 83% to be precise, of bitcoin ATM’s is located in the US.

Coinflip application for integration

Hi Tezos community members,

So far, no succes in recruiting a software engineer to help Bitminas.com.

In the mean time, a questionnaire has been sent to the top 10 bitcoin ATM operators. Most operators were not interested in integrating tez on their machine because they only offer Bitcoin at this point in time.

Coinflip (https://coinflip.tech/ ) on the other hand is interested and asked me to fill in an application. Done that, I’m now waiting for their response. In case the TF is interested in this integration, they are more than welcome to contact Coinflip to speed-up the process.

General Bytes as ATM manufacturer ( GENERAL BYTES | Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency ATMs ) remains interested to integrate tez on their machines. They will leave it to the community and wait until a pull request is made on their GitHub repo.

Thanks for reading.
